i have been on a nice long visit to London to see my mister. it was wonderful as ever to see Philip and the weather was perfect- if, dare i say it-  too hot. on Thursday i attended our London exhibition organised by the students on my course. it was quite lovely but i forgot to take pictures- as ALWAYS! but the website for EPHEMERAL can be seen here.

I also went to the always brilliant V&A museum where i spent the whole day hiding away in the embroideries room studying the lovely samples. Are’nt these colours amazing?and then i had a peek at the exhibition architects create small spaces which was pretty good all in all but the BEST thing about it was this:

and golly gee was this ever swell? it was called bettles house and it was set in the medieval section, so even though it was newly designed for the exhibition it seemed that it was a crazy medieval fairy house. i wish i could live in it.  Visitors were permitted to go up the stairs and sit inside, which was a plaster walled nook of top notch standard. the architect, Terunobu Fujimori made this as a modern tea room, a place to gather in a very small select group and take tea!!!! i wish i had this in my garden to take tea in…. please please Fujimori san, please can i have one?

i wish i lived in the V&A museum.
